DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn., "Regulator No. 1, Extra" hanging clock with a weight driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION:
The case is in very nice condition with very little veneer loss. The case has been refinished and the dial repainted. The pillow base has apparently been reconstructed, but not in the proper form. The lower tablet glass is replaced and the gilt band surrounding the lower glass is overpainted. The upper door glass is original. The hands are original. The sliding weight baffle inside the case is present, but the label originally on it is missing. A smaller board below the baffle is missing, thus no beat scale remains.
